Our Reference Laboratory
Our analytical processing takes place at Eurofins Genomics Denmark, one of the few centers in Europe with the technological capacity to handle the high volume of microbiome samples we process monthly. We work in close collaboration with their state-of-the-art facilities to exclusively perform shotgun metagenomic sequencing (WGS) on your samples. Technology: Shotgun Metagenomic Sequencing
Always at the forefront of scientific innovation, at Vivabioma we stay up to date with the most advanced technologies in microbiota DNA sequencing. With our comprehensive analysis, we process 80 million reads per sample, far exceeding traditional techniques (such as 16S sequencing), which are limited to detecting only a part of the bacteria. This process does not only focus on the main bacterial groups but also detects microorganisms that usually go unnoticed in conventional analyses, covering bacteria, archaea, fungi, and viruses. To guarantee maximum precision and reliability, we employ this massive depth based on industry-leading technology, which means we capture the genetic material of your entire intestinal community with extraordinary resolution, minimizing errors and confirming results with the highest possible accuracy.
